Skyline Electric installed a Primary Power Distribution MicroGrid Control and Monitoring System for the Primary Power Distribution System.
The system was engineered and designed to monitor and control multiple power sources, which includes: 15kV Utility Power from Rocky Mountain Power Substation, 1.5MW Wind Turbine #1, 1.7MW CNG Generator, 1.8MW Wind Turbine #2, and 2MW Stirling Solar Array. This facilitated revenue metering to sell power back to the utility company. The work also included the installation of 15kV capacitors, 15kV battery storage system, new overhead power line work, new under-build power line on existing overhead utility structures, underground medium voltage distribution, substation switchgear modifications, generator interface excitation and control, outside plant fiber optic communications, excavating, directional drilling & boring, and primary power distribution design assistance.
