Salt Lake International Airport Taxiway & Airfield

Work included removal and relocation of existing taxiways and apron pavements, construction of new parallel taxiways and a six position aircraft deicing pad, and relocation of existing perimeter roadways and a small aircraft parking ramp.

Skyline’s Project Scope

Rebuild taxiway, includes all taxiway edge lights, centerline lights, airfield guidance signs, microwave sensors and radar work. Ductbank. 5 kV airfield lighting cable and terminations.

Construct the airfield lighting, guidance, and control system for a new taxiway which also entailed transitioning into three existing taxiways. We installed 1/2 mile of 24W-4" Conduit Ductbank with 5Kv Airfield Lighting Cable. Over 1,000 In-pavement Lights, hundreds of elevated lights, dozens of guidance signs, new constant current regulators, a plane deicing pad including all pumps and valve controls. New power service including 1/4 mile of Rocky Mountain Power duct bank.

Rebuilding 5 separate taxiways. Installed 465 load bearing light fixtures, 50 edge lights, 3 signs. Compressed schedule, live operating international airport.
