Spanish Fork Solar Farm - 4.7 MW Ground Mount

The 4.7 Megawatt solar farm was installed on 27 acres in Spanish Fork, UT and will power 3,000 homes. It is a Series B Cast-In-Place (CIP) ballasted mounted system and will be used as a community solar program for Utah Municipal Power Agency customers to offset their usage.

Skyline’s Project Scope

Skyline Electric Company did the full installation of the nearly 12,000 panel system, including racking, electrical raceways, cabling, terminations, and the duct bank installation from the local utility substation to the 4.7 MW solar array. With the land being compromised, one of the biggest challenges that Skyline Electric faced was that the landfill's surface was typically not allowed to be penetrated. Skyline used the Series B Cast-in-place (CIP) mounting technology which allowed for customizable blocks, lighter ballasts, and overall flexibility.
